How we met
It started with a chance encounter at a Sunday farmers market. James reached for the last bunch of dahlias — so did Emily. The rest, as they say, is history.

The ceremony will be held at St Mary's Church, Church Lane, Bourton-on-the-Water. The reception will follow at Barnfield Manor, Stow-on-the-Wold.
What time should I arrive?+
Please aim to be seated by 2:45 PM. The ceremony begins promptly at 3:00 PM. Arriving 15-20 minutes early is recommended.
Is there parking available?+
Yes! Barnfield Manor has a free car park with space for 80 vehicles. Follow the signs from the main gate on arrival.
What is the dress code?+
Garden Formal — think florals, pastels, and earthy tones. We'd love to see colour! Please avoid wearing white or ivory.

When is the RSVP deadline?+
We kindly ask that you RSVP by September 1st, 2025. This helps us finalise numbers with our caterers and venue.
Can I bring a plus one?+
Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate guests named on the invitation. If you have any questions please reach out to us directly.
Are children welcome?+
We love your little ones! Children are welcome at both the ceremony and reception. Please note any dietary requirements on your RSVP.
How do I update my RSVP?+
If your plans change, please contact us directly as soon as possible so we can update our guest list with the venue.
Food & Drinks

Will there be vegetarian or vegan options?+
Absolutely. Please note any dietary requirements on your RSVP form and our caterers will make sure you are well looked after.
What type of food will be served?+
We will have a drinks reception with canapés on the terrace, followed by a three-course sit-down wedding breakfast, and evening buffet.
Is there an open bar?+
Drinks are included throughout the evening until last orders at 11:30 PM. A welcome drink will be provided on arrival.
Can I request a specific meal?+
You can note your dietary preferences and allergies on your RSVP. We cannot guarantee all specific requests but will do our very best.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?+
We are having an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones and cameras away during the vows. Our photographer will capture everything beautifully!
Is the venue accessible?+
Yes, Barnfield Manor is fully wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific accessibility requirements.
What happens if the weather is bad?+
Both the ceremony and reception have beautiful indoor spaces, so rain or shine the day will go ahead as planned. No need to worry!
Will there be accommodation at the venue?+
Barnfield Manor has a limited number of rooms available for guests. Please contact the venue directly to book. We've also listed nearby hotels on the Travel page.
